Blue

Blue (Lynaire Silver Steel) was my dream come true, to have a Blue Merle Rough Collie! My love at first sight 'Millennium Puppy' as he was brought home on 31 st December 1999, after just returning from Australia the day before; hence his name and the fact it's a favourite colour! He was my second soul mate and an angel dog. He adored cuddles, with anyone! He'd be on my lap before I hardly had a chance to sit down, or he'd lay with his head on my feet! He slept beside me, loved bedtime whether it was at night or just for a nap! He loved the comfort of cushions, his bed, the sofa, and he'd make himself comfy in no time wherever he was! He loved his toys and shared a big toy box with his 'adoptive brother!' Whatever toy I said to fetch, that's what he brought to me! His favourite ever toy was 'Big Doggy, who'd be brought to anyone for a game of tug of war or fetch! He loved going to see the horses on his walks. He loved being taken to be shown at dog shows, to see other dogs, and especially to get his chicken treats! He was a loving, calm dog. Other dogs would walk with us even though they'd not walk with any other dogs! His life had to be cut short due to chronic Arthritis and Spondylitis. The month before we lost him, he was briefly shown on the Meridian news after he was spotted at a local village fete after being in their dog show! He was my wonderful 'Blue Boy' who I was extremely blessed to have him share a part of my life with! Now laid to rest in our back garden that he loved to be in, but only with company.
