So to night I found my cat collapsed on the floor struggling to breathe with water coming out of her mouth ,so I dropped everything and took her to vets they tried her on oxygen and it made no difference , she also is anemic and had a slow heart rate . It was then I was told she wasn't going to make it through the night , it has broken my heart that she has been put to sleep and now she is pain free and crossed the rainbow bridge .

What was her name?

It sounds like she was very poorly indeed. Cats in her state also do not cope well with the stress of being handled and having lots of tests and treatments. I am sure you did the right and kindest thing for her.

Sorry for not responding sooner but I've not been on here a while.
I'm so sorry for your loss...I can tell she was very loved indeed.
It is so hard making that awful decision but you definitely did the right thing. Socks is no longer suffering, she is at peace.
