Goodbye Sam. You gave us so much pleasure in the years you spent with us, your suffering now is ended & you left without a fuss. You've run across the rainbow bridge to the meadows over there. You can run again with Smokey once more you are a pair. So goodbye Sam our lovely cat we'll meet again one day & Blossom says remember me your friend with whom you lay. Don't grieve for us who are left behind we are the ones who gained. Your memory we will treasure for on our hearts Sam is engraved.

I Only Wanted You They say memories are golden well maybe that is true. I never wanted memories, I only wanted you. A million times I needed you, a million times I cried. If love alone could have saved you you never would have died. In life I loved you dearly, In death I love you still. In my heart you hold a place no one could ever fill. If tears could build a stairway and heartache make a lane, I'd walk the path to heaven and bring you back again. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

You were so adorable, and caught the eye of my middle son immediately. That we would be going home with you was never in any doubt. You were named by "dad", and Samantha fit you well. Over the years it would morph in to Sammy Girl Kitty. Your tail got broken, but you recovered uneventfully and you would have terrible allergic reactions to flea meds. Not until your 17th year did you experience any health issues, and you hated those thyroid pills at first. Twice a day, like clock work, you got your pill and a treat (usually a little cheese). You were so BIG people used to ask if you were actually a dog (pardon the word) as your papa was a Maine Coon. You bore all their best traits. Through the years you would welcome fosters, and rescues and new family members, all without getting a floofie tail, lol. You handled the arrival of your half brother well, mothering him until he was old enough, then one day you clocked him, put him in his place and all was well. It was so funny. In the end, we tried new medicine, in fact that very week you were to go on blood pressure medicine. It was not to be though, and I came home that night and I knew, even before I searched for you, that you were gone. I avoided going up stairs for as long as I could. I knew, when you didn't greet me at the door, as you had for over 18 years, that you had gained your wings. And, yet it was such a shock. I was totally devastated by your loss. I miss you to this day and I am getting a tattoo in your memory. I also rescue black kitties, almost exclusively, in your honor. You were my heart kitty Sammy, and I miss you each and every day. I know that we will be reunited one day and I will know the joy of looking at your face and stroking your soft fur once more. <3 <3

Sammy Shi Tzu you were the best. They broke the mould when you were made. Everyone loved you and said what a little character you were, lovable and very naughty at times!!!! In your first week here you chewed the heels off my wedding shoes and ate the spine off a book but you were very much loved. You loved having your jumpers, t.shirts and coats on and would always pose for a photo. Quite simply Sam you were Simply the Best and will be missed by us all. See you at Rainbow Bridge my Darling.

My precious Sammy went to Rainbow Bridge 1 year ago on the 11th September 2013. I have had my heart shattered by the loss of my best friend/ soul mate. He was almost 15 years old. I miss him so much, there is not a day goes by without me thinking of him, My baby boy. I hope he is running free and happy at Rainbow Bridge, and one day we will be together again forever. Miss you and love you so very much my Best Boy Sammy.
