#1479 - by Lucy's Mom aka Nancy >> Mon Dec 23rd, 2024 01:35 am My beloved dog Lucy 14 years old is dying of cancer. On Prednisone and Gabapentin and it is helping but I cannot enjoy her better days because all I do is cry and think the end is near. Her tumors- cantaloupe size in a 40 pound dog in her groin with an adrenal mass and lymph node involvement. How do you get through this. It is so hard to lose my girl. She is my all. |

#1482 - by Michaela >> Mon Dec 23rd, 2024 08:41 am It's so hard Nancy. Don't look to the future, just hold Lucy close now in the moment and cherish the present, every precious second of it, for now she is still with you. Give her your all and lose yourself in those better days with her. Don't be afraid of feeling your pain, let it come and let it flow, don't hold it back, it's all part of the grieving process. Sending hugs X |
